Integrity.
“A person of integrity displays a principled dedication to values and beliefs. They always seek to reflect ethical standards and do the right thing regardless of the circumstances.”
In our career journey, we sometimes will be challenged on our work conduct and manner. Our work and life values will be put to test by the system, culture, political conditions, or religious perspectives. We may feel lonely upholding this on our own. We may feel compelled to just collapse to the pressure and do what is easy.
All of my career coaching clients will know that one of the first assessments they will take is on work values. This will determine their negotiables and non-negotiables as they explore opportunities in the job market.
Do you know why sometimes you can’t seem to stay long in an organization, feel baffled why it did not feel quite right? Or, you are told to leave unceremoniously?
Values misalignment might be one of them.
Be strong, stay focused, and know that you are on the right path to having clear conscience and the ability to sleep at night. While there may be rewards in this life, there certainly will be in the next one.
To your career success
